Cross Braces
The supplied cross braces provide essential structural support when the tank is used for livestock watering or aquaponics. Install them according to the manufacturer’s instructions and do not remove them while the tank contains water.
Inspect the braces and their attachment points regularly. Do not fill or continue using the tank if a brace is missing, damaged or incorrectly installed.
Installation
A full 750-US-gallon tank contains more than 6,200 lb of water, excluding the weight of the tank and installed equipment. It must be placed on a firm, smooth and completely level base capable of supporting the entire tank bottom and its full operating weight.
Before filling:
- Remove rocks, roots and sharp debris.
- Level and compact the installation area.
- Support the entire tank bottom evenly.
- Install and inspect the supplied cross braces.
- Plan where overflow and drained water will travel.
- Confirm safe livestock and maintenance access.
- Verify that the water supply can reach the tank.
Do not fill the tank while any part of its base is unsupported. Water flowing around the tank can soften or erode the base, so drainage must be directed away from the installation area.
Filling and Cleaning
A compatible float valve may be used to maintain the desired water level. The correct valve depends on water pressure, required flow rate and plumbing arrangement.
Float valves, hoses, heaters, plumbing fittings and installation services are not included unless specifically stated.
Before cleaning:
- Shut off or disconnect the water supply.
- Empty the tank using an appropriate method.
- Remove sediment and debris.
- Clean the interior with products suitable for its intended use.
- Rinse thoroughly.
- Inspect the tank, cross braces and installed fittings before refilling.
Confirm the drain arrangement before installation and before ordering any drain fittings or accessories. Do not drill or modify the tank unless the proposed alteration has been approved for this model.
Cold-Weather Use
Polyethylene will not rust, but freezing water can damage the tank, plumbing, fittings or installed equipment. Use only heating equipment approved for the intended application and protect all plumbing and electrical components from livestock.
If the tank will not be used during winter, disconnect the water supply, empty it completely and secure or store it appropriately.
Other Uses
This tank may be suitable for livestock watering, aquaponics, secondary containment and other agricultural or residential applications. Suitability depends on structural support, material compatibility, sanitation requirements, drainage, supervision and applicable local rules.
Do not assume that one installation method is suitable for every use. Contact Stock Tanks Canada before ordering if the intended application is unusual or requires additional equipment.
Delivery Preparation
This is an oversized product. Before ordering, confirm:

- A safe unloading location and prepared base are available.
