Shipping & Delivery
Stock tanks are large, bulky products that require more planning than ordinary parcel shipments. Stock Tanks Canada offers delivery throughout Ontario using our dedicated delivery operation and can arrange shipping to many other locations across Canada through third-party freight and logistics providers.
The available delivery method, cost, and service level depend on your address, the products ordered, access to the delivery location, and carrier availability.
Ontario Delivery
We provide delivery throughout Ontario using specialized trucks, trailers, and offloading equipment suitable for transporting stock tanks and other oversized products.
Our delivery team is experienced in handling large, awkward products and can deliver to farms, businesses, rural properties, and many residential locations.
Delivery does not automatically include installation or unrestricted placement anywhere on the property. The driver will determine the safest practical unloading location based on:
- Truck and trailer access;
- Ground conditions;
- Gate and overhead clearance;
- Nearby buildings, fences, trees, utilities, and other obstacles;
- Available turning and unloading space; and
- The capabilities and safe operating limits of the delivery equipment.
Whenever reasonably possible, we will work with you to place the order in a convenient accessible location. The driver has final authority over where the order can be safely unloaded.

Canada-Wide Shipping
We can arrange shipping to many addresses across Canada using third-party freight and logistics providers.
Service outside our regular Ontario delivery area may differ from delivery performed by our own team. Depending on the destination and carrier, delivery may be:
- To a commercial address;
- To a freight terminal for customer pickup;
- To an accessible residential or rural address;
- Curbside or driveway delivery; or
- Subject to additional equipment, access, or unloading requirements.
Third-party carriers may not provide product placement, specialized offloading, or delivery beyond an accessible unloading point. We will explain the available service before the shipment is confirmed.
Some remote or difficult-to-access destinations may require an individual quotation or may not be serviceable.

Delivery Costs
Delivery options and available charges are normally displayed in the shopping cart after you enter your delivery address.
Delivery rates are affected by factors such as:
- Delivery distance;
- Product size and weight;
- Number of products ordered;
- Required truck, trailer, or offloading equipment;
- Residential, rural, commercial, or remote location;
- Site accessibility;
- Freight-terminal availability;
- Fuel and carrier rates; and
- Additional carrier or handling charges.
Because stock tanks are oversized, some orders require a manually prepared delivery quotation. If the website cannot calculate an appropriate delivery option, please contact us before placing your order.
A delivery charge shown in the cart may be reviewed if the address is incomplete, inaccurate, exceptionally remote, inaccessible to the required equipment, or subject to additional carrier charges. We will contact you before proceeding if a material change is required.
Orders over $5,000 may qualify for free or reduced-cost delivery in certain service areas. Qualification is not automatic and depends on the products ordered, delivery address, available equipment, and delivery schedule. Contact us to determine whether your order qualifies.
Delivery Timing
Delivery dates depend on product availability, destination, delivery route, equipment availability, weather, and carrier schedules.
After reviewing your order, we will contact you by phone to confirm the delivery and provide an estimated delivery timeframe. Larger deliveries may be grouped with other orders travelling in the same area.
Any delivery date or timeframe provided is an estimate unless we expressly confirm otherwise. Delays can occur because of weather, road conditions, mechanical issues, carrier delays, border or regulatory requirements, or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Please do not schedule installers, contractors, water delivery, landscaping work, or other dependent services until your order has arrived and you have inspected it.

Preparing for Delivery
Before delivery, the customer is responsible for ensuring that the delivery location is safe and accessible.
Please make sure that:
- The delivery address and contact information are correct;
- Someone can be reached at the telephone number provided;
- The access road and driveway can accommodate the required truck and trailer;
- The unloading area is reasonably level, firm, and clear;
- Gates and access routes are wide enough for the product and equipment;
- There is sufficient overhead clearance from trees, branches, wires, eaves, and other obstacles;
- Vehicles, equipment, animals, snow, mud, and other obstructions are removed;
- Any required permissions for private roads, restricted properties, or shared access have been obtained; and
- You have told us in advance about narrow roads, steep grades, soft ground, bridges, weight restrictions, gates, low wires, limited turning space, or other access concerns.
Providing photographs or measurements before delivery may help us determine the appropriate equipment and unloading location.
Important Delivery Limitations
No lifting over fences or structures
For safety reasons, our delivery team will not lift stock tanks over fences, buildings, retaining walls, vehicles, utility lines, or other substantial barriers.
Adequate clearance is required
The delivery route must provide enough width and vertical clearance for the product, truck, trailer, and offloading equipment.
Remember that the required opening may need to be wider than the tank itself to allow the product to be turned or safely manoeuvred.
Safe ground conditions are required
Large delivery vehicles and offloading equipment require firm, stable ground. Drivers will not enter an area that they consider unsafe or likely to cause the vehicle or equipment to become stuck or damaged.
Final placement is not guaranteed
Delivery includes unloading at a safe, accessible location. Movement across lawns, soft ground, steep slopes, narrow pathways, stairs, decks, buildings, or landscaped areas is not guaranteed.
Installation is not included
Unless specifically agreed in writing, delivery does not include site preparation, excavation, plumbing, levelling, assembly, installation, connection, or filling of the tank.
Driver safety decisions are final
Our drivers and carriers may refuse an unsafe access route or unloading request. If the requested location cannot be safely reached, the order will be unloaded at the nearest safe and accessible location, where possible.
Receiving and Inspecting Your Order
Please inspect your order as soon as it is delivered.
Before the driver leaves, check that:
- The number of items is correct;
- The products and sizes match your order; and
- There is no visible shipping damage.
If you notice damage or missing products:
- Tell the driver immediately.
- Note the issue on the delivery receipt or carrier documentation, where applicable.
- Take clear photographs of the product, packaging, damage, and delivery condition.
- Keep all packaging and supporting documents.
- Contact Stock Tanks Canada promptly with your order number and photographs.
Do not refuse a shipment unless instructed by Stock Tanks Canada or unless accepting it would be unsafe. Refusing a shipment without authorization may result in additional freight or handling charges.
Damage reported after delivery will be assessed based on the available information. Prompt reporting and photographs help us address the issue with the carrier.
Customer Pickup
Customer pickup may be available for certain products and locations.
Do not arrive for pickup until Stock Tanks Canada has confirmed that your order is ready and provided the pickup location and instructions.
Customers are responsible for arriving with a suitable vehicle, trailer, tiedowns, and securement equipment. Our team may refuse to load an order if the vehicle or proposed loading arrangement appears unsafe or unsuitable.
Once a customer-picked-up order has been loaded and leaves our location, the customer is responsible for safely securing and transporting it.
Changes, Missed Deliveries, and Inaccessible Locations
Contact us as soon as possible if you need to change your delivery address, contact information, or requested delivery arrangements.
Changes made after an order has been scheduled or shipped may result in delays or additional charges.
Additional delivery, redelivery, waiting-time, storage, terminal, or handling charges may apply when:
- No one is available when attendance is required;
- The address or contact information is incorrect;
- The delivery site is inaccessible or unsafe;
- Site conditions were not disclosed in advance;
- The customer requests a different delivery location or service; or
- A shipment is refused without authorization.
We will explain known additional charges whenever reasonably possible.
Returns and Delivery Charges
Original shipping or delivery charges are generally non-refundable when an item is returned because the customer changed their mind, ordered the wrong product, or no longer requires the item.
The customer is also generally responsible for return transportation costs unless the return results from our error, an incorrect product, a confirmed defect, or shipping damage for which Stock Tanks Canada accepts responsibility.
All returns require prior authorization. Products must not be shipped or brought back until return instructions have been provided.
Return eligibility, conditions, and any applicable charges are governed by our Terms & Conditions and the return instructions provided for the specific order.
