Hastings Poly Stock Tanks provide a lightweight, rust-resistant alternative to galvanized steel tanks. Made from high-density virgin polyethylene, they will not rust or corrode and are designed to resist UV exposure, feedlot acids, and pressure from crowded livestock.
Choose from round, round-end, and rectangular styles to suit different livestock, capacities, and installation areas. Models range from compact 60-gallon tanks to large-capacity tanks holding approximately 1,100 gallons

Hastings 2′ Wide Round-End Poly Stock Tanks provide dependable livestock watering in a narrow, space-efficient design. Their rounded ends and two-foot width make them well suited to fence lines, pens and other locations where a large round tank would occupy too much space.
Manufactured from high-density virgin polyethylene, these tanks will not rust or corrode. They are designed to resist UV exposure, feedlot acids and the demands of everyday agricultural use. A smooth interior makes routine cleaning easier, while their lightweight construction makes them easier to position when empty.

Choosing the Right Size
Consider the number and type of animals using the tank, available space, preferred water depth and refill rate.
The one-foot-deep models provide a lower drinking height and may be suitable for smaller livestock or applications requiring a shallow tank. These models do not include drain plugs.
The two-foot-deep models provide greater capacity and include factory-installed drain plugs. Before ordering, confirm that the selected depth allows the intended animals to reach the water safely and comfortably.
Installation
Place the tank on a firm, smooth and completely level base capable of supporting its entire bottom and full operating weight. Water weighs approximately 8.34 lb per US gallon, so even a lightweight poly tank becomes extremely heavy when filled.
Before filling:
- Remove rocks, roots and sharp debris.
- Level and compact the installation area.
- Support the entire bottom of the tank evenly.
- Plan where overflow and drained water will travel.
- Confirm safe access for livestock and maintenance.
- Make sure the water supply can reach the tank.
Do not fill the tank while any part of its base is unsupported. An uneven or eroded base can place unnecessary stress on the tank.
Filling, Draining and Cleaning
A compatible float valve may be used to maintain the desired water level. Float valves, heaters, plumbing fittings and installation services are not included unless specifically stated.
The HP20204 and HP20206 two-foot-deep models include drain plugs. To drain and clean one of these tanks:
- Shut off or disconnect the water supply.
- Remove the drain plug and allow the tank to empty.
- Remove sediment and debris.
- Clean the interior with products appropriate for its intended use.
- Rinse thoroughly.
- Inspect the plug, seal and drain opening.
- Reinstall the plug securely without overtightening.
The HP20104 and HP20106 one-foot-deep models do not include drain plugs. Plan how the tank will be emptied before placing it into service. Depending on the installation, a suitable pump or siphon may be required. Never attempt to lift or tip a tank containing a substantial amount of water.
Cold-Weather Use
Polyethylene will not rust, but freezing water can damage the tank, drain connection, supply lines or installed equipment. Use only heating equipment approved for the application and protect plumbing and electrical components from livestock.
If the tank will not be used during winter, disconnect the water supply, empty it completely and secure or store it appropriately.
Delivery Preparation
Before ordering, confirm the selected model and dimensions as well as gate, driveway, road and overhead clearances. Ensure the delivery vehicle has room to enter, unload and exit safely, and make sure the prepared base is ready.
Delivery does not include site preparation, plumbing, installation or filling unless those services are specifically included in writing.
