Thinking of a stock tank pool, eh?

The buying process explained.

Phase 1: Choosing and Ordering Your Tank

Finding the perfect tank is an adventure in itself. We take the guesswork out of getting the best quality tank because that is all we sell. Our tanks are premium zinc-coated galvanized steel or indestructible, maintenance-free polyethylene. On top of that, we have developed an easy-to-navigate e-commerce website that answers your most common questions and lets you easily order the exact tank you want.

  • Browse and Select: Choose your ideal tank footprint. If you need help with dimensions, call our team at 519.443.6464. 519.443.6464.
  • Streamlined Checkout: Add your selected tank to your digital cart, enter your address to get a delivery price, and complete your order.
  • Instant Confirmation: Once your order is processed, you will receive an automated email invoice.
  • Slight Nesting Variances: Multi-tank orders feature nested shapes; inside tanks will measure slightly less than the outer tank footprint. If it is important that your tanks be EXACTLY the same size, let us know by Contact us after your order is placed.

Phase 2: Fulfillment & Getting Your Tank

We make inventory pickup and home delivery stress-free through our private fleet.

  • In-Store Pickup: Choosing local pickup ensures zero wait. Our staff will call you to schedule your exact arrival window once the order is ready.
  • Fleet Home Delivery: Choosing delivery schedules our dedicated transport trucks. We call you prior to shipping to confirm drop-off times and site specifics.
  • Predictable Timelines: Most tanks deliver within 2 weeks, subject to regional logistics schedules and product availability.

Phase 3: Crucial Foundation Preparation

Do not wait for our truck to arrive to plan your base footprint. Water is heavy, weighing roughly 8 pounds per gallon. Large tanks holding over 1,000 gallons weigh as much as a commercial pickup truck.

  • Wooden Deck Restrictions: Never place filled tanks on standard wooden decks unless structurally reinforced by a professional builder.
  • Level Sand Bases: Sand and peat moss create an excellent, flat foundation with good drainage.
  • Direct Grass Placement: Tanks are field-engineered for livestock; clean, level grass layouts are perfectly acceptable.
  • Interlocking Mudslab Foundations: For elite stability, pair your setup with interlocking concrete mudslabs from our sister company, Livestock Equipment Canada.
  • Access Area Photos: Our dispatch department may request a quick smartphone photo of your yard entrance to verify clearance for the tank or equipment.

Phase 4: Delivery Day & Site Restrictions

The foundation is ready, you're wondering what is happening with that tank you ordered ... and then your phone rings—it's our shipping department calling to go over the delivery requirements and schedule a time. We provide a 1-hour arrival window, however, we can not control things like bad weather, road closures or traffic. If we encounter any unforeseen delays on delivery day, someone will reach out to you to keep you informed.

⚠️ CRITICAL FREIGHT DELIVERY RESTRICTIONS

  • No Fence Lifting: Our logistics team will not lift tanks over residential fences, gates, or structures.
  • Clear Site Access: Delivery routes must have adequate overhead clearance, firm ground, and wide enough gates.
  • Disclose Access Challenges: You must disclose tight spaces or physical property barriers to our team during your scheduling call so we can plan for any complications.
  • Rugged Industrial Finish: Minor transport scuffs or zinc coating variations are normal industrial traits that never compromise structural integrity.

🙋 Frequently Asked Questions

  • Can I add chlorine to my tank?
Monitor chemical levels carefully. While a trace amount can be used, sanitation chemicals like bromine or chlorine aggressively attack and degrade your tank’s protective zinc galvanizing coat over time.
  • Will the metal tank overheat in the sun?
No, water regulates the temperature. The steel frame will only match the exact temperature of the water inside. Use our custom 10-foot round solar covers to help maintain water temperature.
  • Do I need special parts to use my tank right away?
No, it is ready immediately. You can hop right in as soon as it fills. To enhance your enjoyment, you can browse the internet for custom fountains, floaties, vacuums, and filtration pumps.
  • Can the stock tank be heated?
Yes, but use caution. External water heaters can be plumbed in. Note that drilling custom holes through the tank frame automatically voids your factory structural warranty.
